Light looked down at his hand, an unreadable expression on his face as he studied the skin. It was drenched with his own blood. His other hand rose up next to his already suspended one, this hand also covered in the red substance.
Light’s head turned around slowly, absorbing his surroundings. It was all nothing but white. Plain white space as far as the eye could see. It was maddening.
“Is this death?” Light asked in an almost inaudible voice, though he already knew the answer. It all came flooding back to him like a dream, to unreal to be the unraveling of Kira.
